Chiefs State They Are Aware of Alleged Abuse Claims Involving Player the Athlete
The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment Wednesday night stating they are aware of domestic violence allegations circulated in social media posts by a former girlfriend of player the athlete and had been in communication with the league office.
The organization did not mention Rice by name in their announcement and said they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.
Allegations Posted on Instagram
The woman, who likewise did not name Rice directly, posted a series of photos on Instagram that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. Jones did say the individual in question was the father of her children, and it is known she has two children with Rice, whom the team selected in the second round.
