FC Barcelona Set to Play First Match at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barça revealed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months since relocating so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
