Emergency response teams received over five hundred emergency reports across the area, mainly for building damage but also for downed trees and flooding.

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along significant areas of Queensland's east this next several days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coast.
The following day was expected to become the wettest day, with ongoing thunderstorm potential expected across multiple regions of both areas.

Public health experts warned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the current weather patterns.
